Here you will find a list of the battle reports for each game played so far in the campaign, in the order in which they were played. With no real structure to the campaign, it is possible that these battle reports are not in chronological order. If this happens, the timeline section of the website will keep the chronological sequence straight.
In as far as we have played the campaign so far, we have chosen a basic concept of what is happening in the story, and played a series of games to represent that story. We have come to call these series of games chapters. So far, we have not prescribed the battles more than one game in advance, and have let the game results take us to a logical narrative progression. When we feel like it is time to move the story along, we begin a new chapter.
Chapter 1: Unleash the Wolves
The Space Wolves have arrived in the Altimer system, and are moving to engage the Xenos filth and rebels. They are looking to disrupt system communications and gain a foothold within the system. They have chosen to make planetfall on the mining world of Kor, the innermost planet in the Altimer system.
Battle Report 1
The Space Wolves have made planet fall on Kor, the innermost planet in the Altimer system. Kor is a mining planet, with a relatively low population. The initial strike is on a small Tau communication station near the Space Wolves landing site. The Space Wolves need to overwhelm the small defense force and disable the comm-station, so that they can continue their attack in secret.

Battle Report 2
Having fallen short of disabling the comms station near their landing point, the Space Wolves launch a bold offensive into the heart of enemy territory. They must push forward to deliver a critical blow to the Tau forces in the area, in order to establish a foot hold on Kor. To maximize the element of surprise, the Space Wolves must strike quickly. The rocky terrain of the mining world makes ground mobilization a significant challenge, and if the Space Wolves delay too long, their initial strike may stagger. Advancing over a strategic canyon bridge and through the dilapidated remains of a mining colony, the Space Wolves spearhead directly into enemy territory.

If the Altimer system is to become a stalemate of a conflict, the Space Wolves must be able to make initial progress, not just be repelled by the Tau defenders. As the Space Wolves press toward the primary military fortress near their landing zone, the Tau forces are mustering on a nearby airfield to reinforce the area. A small Eldar force, joined by Maugan Ra, is moving to strike the airfield in an attempt to disrupt the reinforcements.

Chapter 2: Out of the Shadows
The Space Wolves initial assault on Kor has been a success. As word of the Space Wolves arrival in the Altimer System spreads, operatives of a band of Altimer imperial loyalists have decided that now is the time to come out of hiding. If they can connect with the Space Wolves, they believe they can reunite with other loyalists in hiding, and begin to fight back against the xenos invaders and those heretical rebels who broke from the Imperium of Mankind.
Battle Report 5
The loyalist imperial forces have come out of hiding, and have chanced activating a distress beacon to alert the Space Wolves to their presence. The loyalist Altimer forces are so run down from years of hiding, that this desperate act is perhaps their only remaining chance to survive their long struggle with the xenos invaders and those heretics who joined them. The distress beacon has been activated, and the loyalist imperial forces have called for the Space Wolves to aid them. No doubt the Tau will also be alerted by the beacon. As the forces of the Tau bear down on the decrepit band, the loyalists can only hope that the Space Wolves have heard their call for help...

The loyal imperial forces are falling back in an effort to get some distance from the Tau, so that they can strengthen their link with the Space Wolves and the main body of their hidden war band. The loyalist forces are to fall back to a rendezvous point near an old port where ore was once hauled off planet. Underneath the rendezvous point is a network of underground tunnels that has provided a way for the loyal imperial war band to hide and move in their struggle to survive. From one of these underground tunnels, another group of loyalists is to link up with the Imperial forces and unite. The Tau forces, joined in the hunt by their human auxiliaries, are pursuing the imperial forces. The human rebels have hunted the loyalist forces for years, and there is no love lost between these one time brothers.

Chapter 3: The Veiled War
A scattered war band of Altimer military that remain loyal to the Imperium have come out of hiding to link up with the Space Wolves. They have failed to connect with any significant strength, and are continuously hunted across Kor's surface, an unyielding rocky landscape, littered with discarded mining equipment and dilapidated mining colonies and facilities. The terrain makes almost all mobilization of ground forces a challenge, but provides myriad ways for small groups to move about undetected. The loyalist Imperial forces are using this to their advantage. They have waited years for an opportunity to strike back at the Xenos invaders, and their heretic rebellious brothers. With the Space Wolves arrival on Kor, now is the time to reach out and take back their home planet. To do so, they fight a small scale war to accumulate some of their old equipment, which has been out of their reach since the rebellion. There are some formidable weapons still hidden in certain places in the crumbling infrastructure of Kor, for those who know where to look...

It has been a while since we have played a game for our campaign, but the release of the Kill Team box has infused us with some new energy. This chapter will be a series of Kill team games, and overlaps the timeline with chapter 2. We will be using the basic Kill Team campaign rules out of the Kill Team core rulebook. We have dropped the restriction of factions to allow us each to mix our respective armies to match our narrative. So Jake's kill teams can consist of Space Wolves and Astra Militarum units, and Mark's kill teams can consist of Tau Empire units and Astra Militarum units. Any discrepencies that we run into due to this will be worked out along the way.
Battle Report 8
Emboldened by the arrival of the Space Wolves, the imperial loyalist forces on Kor have come out of hiding. They have a secret plan to raid some old military installations on Kor, in hopes of finding some much needed equipment to aid in their struggle. A small group of loyalist fighters is moving to sabatoge a defensive position of the Tau and rebels. If they succeed, the distraction just might make some other more important missions easier, not to mention the chance to strike back at the xenos invaders and treacherous rebels.
